Every seller wants their home to go quickly for top dollar. To meet that goal, sellers need to “package for profit” and make sure all the home’s highlights are ready to shine. The five tips below will help you get your home ready for its big debut!
Evaluate your home’s curb appeal
Make sure the yard is freshly landscaped and manicured, including trees and bushes. Remove any excess toys or gardening items that could cause clutter. If your windows need cleaning and the front door needs a fresh coat of paint, now is the time. The first impression counts!
De-clutter
Remove clutter by storing away excess items from counters and refrigerator door. If you have a pet, get rid of the litter box and pet toys. If you have the opposite problem and need furniture to fill in spaces, consider hiring a stager.
De-personalize
Keep personal family photos and paperwork out of view. You want potential buyers to imagine themselves in the home.
