Dallas Home Prices Reflect Market Growth

Steve Brown, a real estate columnist for The Dallas Morning News, was kind enough to pass along their mid-year analysis of home prices for the Dallas area. Seems like things only continue to look better and better in the Dallas housing market!
As of June, preowned median sales prices in the MLS for the first six months of 2012 were higher than a year earlier in all but 10 of the 45 areas we track. Steve commented, “The rebound appears to be pretty widespread.”

Note that the dark green areas, meaning prices are up by 11% or more, include Bedford, Irving, Northwest Dallas, Oak Lawn, Oak Cliff, Southeast Dallas, Wilmer-Hutchins and Mesquite. And, there’s a really good amount of light green (up 1-10%) across the area, so the overall outlook shows promise of continued growth.
