Texas One of the Most Entrepreneurial States
Posted June 19th, 2012 | by The Update

Looking to start your own business? Texas is the place to be! With 440 start-ups per 100,000 adults last year, CNN Money listed our great state as one of the best in the nation:
Texas doesn’t mess with entrepreneurs. It’s tax-friendly, with no personal or corporate income tax. Regulations don’t change frequently. Labor and housing costs are reasonable. And the economy is relatively strong, attracting more than 1,400 people a day to move there.
The Texas Bio Corridor, which stretches 275 miles along Interstate 35 from San Antonio to Dallas-Fort Worth, is home to a growing number of health care, biotech and medical device startups.
Elsewhere, professional and technical services such as consulting, accounting, engineering and construction contractors are booming.
