Trendspotting: Urban Gardens

If you’re and urban dweller with a green thumb, there are still plenty of ways to incorporate a beautiful garden setting into your home. Urban gardening is a growing trend with emphasis on eco-friendly gardens made from simple recycled materials, as well as growing your own herbs and veggies.
The options for adding a little extra greenery to your home are endless— from gorgeous glass terrariums (many of which you can find at places like West Elm), to window boxes of fresh herbs, to sweet and simple patio gardens made from upcycled materials like cinderblocks, wooden pallets, or mason jars.
One unique trend within urban gardening is to create a vertical garden (pictured above), where you can grow gorgeous succulents or other shrubby plants and hang this garden as you would a piece of art. Here are a few easy and fun ideas that have been trending lately in urban gardening:
