The Craighead Green Art Gallery
Dallas is continuing to grow as an art and design hot-spot, gaining even international recognition for incredible local and famous art displays as well as superb city architecture.
In addition to the infamous Dallas Museum of Art, there are several smaller art galleries well worth visiting. Here are a few of our favorites:
CRAIGHEAD GREEN GALLERY
(Pictured above). Teaming with Texas Talent: Philanthropic team Kenneth Craighead and Steve Green have nurtured up-and-comers for almost 20 years. The mega 2012 Group Show, March 31 – May 5, presents an impressive 50 artists at once. Savvy collectors mark their calendars for the highly anticipated New Texas Talent, resuming August 4th, to discover a collection of never-before-shown locals.

CONDUIT GALLERY
Inside Scoop on the Next Big Thing: Nancy Whitenack’s super-secret Project Room is the first place tastemakers go to source undiscovered genius. Here, unsigned fledgling artists get a chance to break into the business. Currently, Oak Cliff dweller Edward Ruiz, wows with digital video and sound. For three decades, Conduit has proven Texan artwork can “stand up to any in the U.S.”

Masters in the Mall: Under the radar, this Galleria store front is nestled inside Saks Fifth Avenue and boasts a surprising collection of works by Chagall, Miro, Warhol, Twombly and more. Originals and signed/numbered lithographs are available. Ten additional locations empower director Kris Drain to locate your perfect piece. From old-school to cutting-edge, the sky is the limit here.
