Pantone’s Color Palette Predictions for 2012: The Future is Bright!
Posted September 8th, 2011 | by The Update

This living room with a brick red couch and cool grey walls with gold accents and hints of blue are part of Pantone’s predictions for color trends in 2012.
The color trend predictions from Pantone’s Color Watch Display at the International Home and Housewares Show in Chicago are forecasting a bright future for 2012! The executive director of the Pantone Color Institute® commented,
“Pantone View Home and Interiors 2012 is the road map to color for 2012, which is filled with interesting new directions. Some paths lead to exhilarating tones that encourage the prospective buyer to forge ahead into adventures with novel color combinations, while others invite them to stop for a moment, take a deep breath, relax and consider the more classic hues in a different kind of mix. The continuing challenge and goal will be in keeping the consumer visually engaged by blending the playful with the practical. To reach that destination, color is the compass.”
Be on the lookout for their in-depth books on color trends for designers, decorators, and home sellers, coming out soon.
Here are a few samples of the palettes shown at their display at Home and Housewares Show to help you be ahead of the game in next year’s color trends.
