Forbes Says Dallas is One of "The Next Big Boom Towns in the US"
In a recent article on Forbes.com, Dallas is listed as one of the top 10 cities “positioned to grow and prosper in the next decade”.
The study investigated 52 of the largest metropolitan areas of the country, looking closely at job growth, family formation, and population demographics, assessing the overall desirability for educated persons to want to move there, start successful businesses, and raise happy families.
In regards to our bustling metroplex, Forbes states:
“Of course, Texas metropolitan areas feature prominently on our list of future boom towns… [including] Dallas, which over the past years boasted the biggest jump in new jobs, over 83,000. Aided by relatively low housing prices and buoyant economies, these Lone Star cities have become major hubs for jobs and families.”
The article also adds:
“And there’s more growth to come. With its strategically located airport, Dallas is emerging as the ideal place for corporate relocations.”
So not only is Dallas the perfect place to begin business and raise a family, it’s also a prime location for already successful businesses to relocate.
The article also references a piece from The Star Telegram, “Dallas-Fort Worth Again Leads Nation In Job Growth”, with detailed statistics on employment in the Dallas area. Most notably it states that “Job growth was up 2.9 percent, compared with 1.1 percent for the U.S.” Dallas’ overall success at riding through our country’s tough economic times would account for how Dallas has more than double the job growth than the overall U.S. average.
